Communication

Relationship problems

Are you concerned about the quality of your relationship?

Have you noticed any recent changes in your relationship?

Do you still enjoy the same things?

Do your discussions rarely go beyond the weather and your work day?

Do you feel like you and your
partner are stuck in a rut?

At some point in every relationship, couples encounter issues that require the ability to communicate effectively. Sadly, many couples are poorly equipped when faced with having to resolve conflict.  Without effective communication and conflict resolution strategies, issues may be temporarily "smoothed over" but nothing ever gets resolved.  Like clockwork, these issues resurface repeatedly but are never agreed on to the satisfaction of one or both parties.

A key to good communication is the ability to talk about problems as well as listening to those problems as they arise.  Too often couples wait until it is too late and small problems build into major crises. When we are hurt or upset, it can be extremely difficult to listen to what our partner says.  When we feel the need to be right, we lose sight of our partner's feelings and communication breaks down.

If you are currently struggling with communication problems in your relationship, we are here to help.  Please contact us today for a free consultation and ask to speak with Kimberley Harris, Ray Robinson, Jennifer Reed, or Chris Berger.
