Amanda has been involved in helping and supporting people for the past 18 years, when she began mentoring as a camp counselor at Camp Barnabas, which is a camp for individuals with disabilities.  That experience, along with volunteer work in human trafficking, led her to seek an advanced degree in psychology and counseling.  Amanda has worked extensively with individuals who have encountered trauma and abuse, as well as those who have battled addictions.  Additionally, she has experience leading a variety of groups through addictions work, as well as working with an array of issues related to grief and loss.
