About Natalie Corbett

Natalie Corbett starts from a clinical observation that doubles as a working belief: life is genuinely difficult at times, and healing from real hardship — with the right professional guidance — can produce outcomes that exceed what clients expect when they first walk in. Her practice is built around three reliable ingredients: building a client's self-worth, providing actual clinical tools, and offering unconditional acceptance in the room. Her aim is to make therapy enlightening, useful, and honestly enjoyable to engage in — even when the material is heavy.

Natalie works particularly well with clients in addiction recovery, trauma recovery, and the wide territory in between — where substance use, compulsive patterns, anxiety, depression, and unresolved trauma often travel together. She is also a strong fit for couples and families working through codependency, infidelity, divorce or divorce recovery, and the relational fallout that addiction puts on a household. Her tone is warm and direct; she meets clients where they are and helps them get where they want to be, free from judgment, pressure, or pre-written expectations of what their progress should look like.

Natalie holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. She is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Colorado and holds the ADDC (Addiction Counselor) credential. Her clinical work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), humanistic and psychodynamic approaches, dedicated addictions counseling, and marriage and family therapy — chosen and combined based on what the client is actually working on rather than applied as a single protocol.

Natalie's prior clinical experience is unusually broad. She has worked in inpatient treatment facilities, juvenile residential facilities, alternative high schools, and with clients ranging from adolescents to elderly adults, including blind and disabled clients. That range matters in the room — she has sat with people in the worst hours of their lives and people in the long, quiet middle of recovery, and she brings both kinds of steadiness with her.

FAQ's

Does Natalie work with addiction recovery?

Yes. Addiction recovery is at the center of Natalie's practice. She is a Licensed Social Worker who also holds the ADDC (Addiction Counselor) credential, with prior experience in inpatient treatment facilities and juvenile residential programs. She works with adults and adolescents on drug and alcohol abuse and addiction recovery, behavioral and compulsive patterns, relapse prevention, and the long-term work of staying in recovery.

Does Natalie work with trauma and PTSD?

Yes. Trauma and PTSD are core areas of Natalie's clinical work, including childhood trauma, sexual abuse recovery, abandonment, and the trauma that often travels with addiction. Her clinical work draws on CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic approaches, integrated based on what the client is working on rather than applied as a single protocol.

Does Natalie work with families affected by addiction?

Yes. Addiction rarely affects only one person — it puts real strain on partners, children, and parents. Natalie works with couples and families navigating the relational fallout of addiction, including codependency, infidelity that often surfaces during recovery, custody transitions, and the slow work of rebuilding trust in a household that has been through it.

Does Natalie work with teens?

Yes. Natalie works with adolescents and teens on substance use, self-injury, eating disorders, anger, body image, and the effects of divorce. Her experience in alternative high school and juvenile residential settings means she is genuinely prepared for adolescent work, not just willing to take it on.

Does Natalie offer virtual sessions?

Yes. Natalie sees clients in person at the Loveland office and offers virtual sessions for Colorado residents. Virtual sessions are particularly useful for clients in recovery who need consistency through travel, scheduling shifts, or living outside the immediate Windsor area.

Is Natalie accepting new clients?

Yes. Natalie is currently accepting new clients at the Loveland location. A free consultation is available through Foundations Counseling's Counselor Match Guarantee — a no-pressure way to see whether her approach fits before committing to regular sessions.
