Kara Crossland brings warmth, intelligence, acceptance, and humor to the counseling relationship.  Kara believes that each person is on their own path in terms of where they are in life’s journey.  Utilizing a variety of proven therapeutic techniques, her goal is to join her clients on their journey with a healthy balance of support and guidance in order to facilitate growth and to help them reach their full potential.

At Foundations Counselling, Kara Crossland works with people who seek counseling for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Mental Health and Wellness – addictions, alcohol and substance abuse issues, obesity and weight loss, anxiety, depression, stress, personality disorders, self-esteem, stress-related issues

Kara earned her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from the University of Colorado at Denver and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado.  Kara also minored in vocal jazz at the University of Northern Colorado and maintains that one never knows when that may come in handy.

Prior to entering the field of counseling and psychology, she was a high school teacher for 10 years and became driven by a passion to more deeply and personally help people.  Kara is married and enjoys a beautiful blended family of two daughters and a stepson.
