As human beings we search for belonging and safety.  When you start to see life as a journey rather than a destination that is when you learn to live in the present.  Neslihan Dogmus believes that in a space of zero judgment and positive understanding all people who come to counseling will find healing and peace.  Neslihan is passionate about helping those who are in a state of panic or struggle, and bringing them to a state of acceptance and joy. 
 
At Foundations Counseling, Neslihan Dogmus works with a wide range of clients who seek services, including: 
 
  • Children and Teens bullying, trauma, performance / behavior issues, child play therapy 
  • Mental Health and Wellness assertiveness training, boundaries, holistic health, schizophrenia, self-esteem, trauma and abuse recovery, nature-based therapies

  • Family and Couples Relationships conflict resolution, parenting, trust and understanding 
 
Neslihan Dogmus has a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Southern Connecticut.  She also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work, with a Minor in Criminal Justice, from Colorado State University.  She is trained in trauma informed care, working with children and those who care for them.  
 
Neslihan has extensive experience working with at risk youth, who have experienced, or are experiencing, trauma.  She specializes in teaching families to co-exist and understand one another for better daily interactions.  During her many years in the field, she has provided guidance to adolescents who have struggled with authority and helped them develop social life skills.
