Drug & Alcohol Abuse Counseling in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Windsor, CO

Foundations Counseling offers drug and alcohol abuse counseling in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Windsor. Our drug abuse counseling is completely discreet, and personalized to fit each individual’s lifestyle and personality – whether you’re new to the process of recovery and treatment or someone who struggles with relapse.

Many people feel powerless against their dependence, which often manifests with various levels of drug and alcohol abuse and other unhealthy behaviors. However, the prognosis is generally good for the individual who wants to find a new, drug-free life – and who enlists the guidance of our skilled drug abuse counselors in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Windsor.

What You Can Expect with Drug Abuse Counseling

Our approach to drug and alcohol abuse counseling combines several philosophies and techniques to create a variety of drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs, both traditional and innovative. We provide compassionate, customized drug and alcohol dependence counseling in an outpatient setting, which allows the chemically dependent person a route to recovery that is specifically tailored to his or her needs – and is easier to work around than many inpatient programs. Clients who resist typical drug and alcohol recovery programs frequently find that Foundations Counseling’s drug abuse therapy is a perfect fit for their lifestyle.

Unlike many drug and alcohol abuse counseling programs, we provide custom treatment for individuals looking to break out of the chronic relapse cycle, as well as those hoping to solve their drug and alcohol dependence once and for all. All of the treatment methods we employ focus on maintaining a strong, grounded foundation in recovery and personal growth.

When to Seek Drug and Alcohol Counseling

Whenever there is significant impairment or emotional distress in an individual’s life that is associated with the use of alcohol or drugs, it may be time to seek help. Four critical signs to look for are:

  • Important social, occupational, or recreational activities are given up or reduced because of drug or alcohol use
  • There is a failure to fulfill major role obligations at work, school, or home (such as repeated absences or poor work performance related to the drug or alcohol use; drug or alcohol-related absences, suspensions, or expulsions from school; or neglect of children or one’s household)
  • There are recurrent drug or alcohol-related legal problems
  • Persistent social or interpersonal problems are caused or exacerbated by the effects of drugs or alcohol (for example, arguments with spouse about consequences of intoxication and physical fights)

Keaton has been great! I feel real value with his counseling and guidance. I am disappointed that our Flex card will not work at your office especially since you do not take insurance.

My counselor was awesome! I can directly credit her for the improvement of my life. Her direction was always non-judgmental but also guiding and let you come to your own conclusions. The building it is in has an awesome tree and live plants growing in it which I appreciated. The chocolate while waiting was also a plus.
