Each stage of life comes with its own set of hardships, and it is okay to not always be okay. Julia Williams believes therapy allows individuals a safe, warm, and understanding place to work on those hardships one step at a time. She strives to meet every individual where they are at in a caring and honest manner, to help them conquer the hardships life throws our way. It is Julia’s passion to give her clients all of the tools necessary to reach a place of healing and growth.
At Foundations Counseling, Julia works with a wide variety of clients who may be seeking services that include:

- Relationship and Couples Counseling – couples counseling, communication, affair recovery, codependency, attachment issues and disorders, dating and breakups, boundaries, emotional affairs, infidelity
- Family Relationships – addictions and codependency, child and adolescent issues, divorce recovery, infertility concerns, violence or abusive patterns, substance abuse issues in families, trust and understanding, communication
Julia Williams has a Master of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling, with a concentration in Alcohol and Substance Abuse, from Long Island University. She also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Purchase. Julia utilizes techniques from Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Client-Centered Therapy.
Julia has experience working closely with both individuals and loved ones affected by eating disorders through her volunteer work at the National Eating Disorders Association. She has also helped individuals who struggle with addiction and substance use disorders and comorbid mental health conditions. Through her experience, Julia has worked with a variety of populations, age groups, and mental health issues and it is her passion to help those who are suffering.
