About Anne
Raising children often comes with unexpected challenges. Anne Roche utilizes a family systems approach combined with techniques from applied behavior analysis to improve family functioning. She assists children in regulating their emotions, modifying behaviors, and improving communication skills. Anne also gives parents the tools to meet their child's unique needs. She aims to offer a safe, non-judgmental space where all family members can reach their fullest potential.
Anne Roche is a National Certified Counselor with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. She is a member of Chi Sigma Iota, the National Honor Society for counseling professionals. Anne also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Before joining Foundations Counseling, Anne held research assistant positions at the University of Colorado's Cognitive Development Center and Stanford University's Social Learning Lab. She gained extensive experience working with children with intellectual and developmental differences as a registered behavior technician and a graduate-level intern at Kennedy Krieger Institute's Neurobehavioral Unit Outpatient Clinic. Additionally, Anne served with AmeriCorps as an elementary literacy tutor and worked as a pre-kindergarten aide and afterschool teacher at a school for gifted children. These diverse experiences have equipped her with the skills to engage in developmentally appropriate practices for individuals of varying abilities.
Anne's diverse background and dedication to continuous learning enable her to provide comprehensive and empathetic care to her clients. She is passionate about helping families navigate the challenges of raising children and supporting each family member's growth and development.
