About Josh
Josh Montoya is a trusted Loveland-based counselor who believes that healing begins where authenticity, safety, and radical acceptance intersect. Serving the Northern Colorado community, Josh offers compassionate, trauma-informed therapy to individuals seeking clarity, resilience, and meaningful personal change. His warm, grounded, and collaborative approach helps clients explore who they are, where they’ve been, and where they want to go—whether that involves working through trauma, navigating a major life transition, or reconnecting with themselves and others.
As a Loveland counselor with a military background, Josh brings a unique lens to his work. He understands the complexity of identity, grief, and transformation from both personal and professional experience. His 15 years of service in the United States Air Force and his work as a Department of Defense Certified Victim’s Advocate allow him to connect deeply with veterans, first responders, and individuals managing high-impact stress.
Josh’s style is honest but affirming. He helps clients challenge unhelpful patterns, reclaim their voice, and find purpose in their healing process. With a strong foundation in trauma recovery, identity development, and emotional regulation, he supports clients in building lives that feel more empowered, authentic, and whole.
Many clients describe Josh as calm, insightful, and unwaveringly supportive. His presence creates a safe space where real healing can unfold—especially for those who may feel stuck, emotionally disconnected, or uncertain about what comes next. Whether you’re recovering from trauma, navigating a relationship shift, or exploring your role in life, Josh offers guidance rooted in both clinical excellence and lived experience.
