About Griffin
Griffin Kauffman believes in the power of creativity to heal, connect, and transform. With a background in expressive arts therapy and a deep passion for the emotional language of art, Griffin offers clients a supportive and engaging space to explore what's happening inside—especially when words fail to convey their emotions.
Whether she's working with a child navigating school anxiety, a teen exploring identity, or an adult struggling with perfectionism or self-worth, Griffin brings lightness, compassion, and curiosity into every session. Her style is warm and encouraging—she meets clients where they are, without judgment or expectation. Her goal is never perfection, but connection.
Griffin has an exceptional talent for helping clients rediscover the strengths they already have. She combines traditional counseling techniques with creative, body-based tools that foster emotional expression, playful exploration, and self-awareness. Therapy with Griffin often incorporates elements such as art, movement, nature, or storytelling, enabling people of all ages to tap into something more profound than conversation alone.
Clients describe Griffin as approachable, creative, and grounded. She helps make therapy feel less intimidating and more like a space where self-expression is not only allowed, but celebrated.

Professional Background
Griffin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Colorado Christian University and is currently completing her Master of Arts in Expressive Arts Therapy at Lesley University. She practices as a clinical counseling intern under the supervision of a professional.
Griffin began her journey in the mental health field six years ago by supporting children on the autism spectrum in schools and group settings. That early experience sparked her passion for blending emotional support with creative expression. Since then, she has worked with children and teens managing anxiety, trauma, depression, and learning differences—using play, art, and movement as therapeutic tools.
Her approach incorporates a range of techniques, including:
- Person-Centered Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Expressive Arts Therapy (Visual Art, Music, Movement, Drama, Literature)
- Child Play Therapy
- Nature-Based and Mindfulness Practices
Outside the therapy space, Griffin enjoys slowing down and soaking up the present moment. She's a proud cat mom to Marley, an adventurous foodie, an avid reader, and an enthusiastic (though self-proclaimed amateur) yogi.
She is a member of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA).
